Future-Proofing The English Curriculum
These are the principles that guide the work we do:
-
There is a need to give students opportunities to value and reflect on their own lived experiences and the experiences of others.

-
There is a need for education systems to take responsibility for promoting values of equity, self-efficacy, sustainability, civic cohesion, criticality and creating.
-
There is a need to teach students to value authentic communication in its various forms.
-
There is a need to teach students the real world application of language.
We propose that a curriculum founded on the interrelationship between knowledge, society and values offers a progressive approach to equipping our students with the perspective and skills they will need to navigate new issues of the 21st century.
